Day 1
Pick up from the hotel and go to have breakfast if you did not eat already. This day provides a look at what happened to Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge time from 1975 to 1979, a horrible time in our history. It is sometimes a difficult tour for people but also essential to understand about our past. Our first stop is Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21), the former high school-turned-prison that was used by the Khmer Rouge from 1975 to 1979. After this, we are going to visit the Killing Fields, about 17 km south of Phnom Penh, where many of the victims from S21 were taken to be killed. Then we will stop for lunch. We will end our day with some quiet reflection time at Odna Loam Pagoda on the riverfront in Phnom Penh.

Day 2
Pick up from your hotel before or after breakfast. Our first stop is the beautiful Royal Palace, best explored in the morning. We recommend hiring a guide, so you can get the most understanding of the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda. We will then continue to the National Museum, a beautiful architectural space as well as housing many national treasures from temples around Cambodia. We will then go to either the Central Market or the Russian Market and explore some local cuisine by having lunch in the market. We will end our day with a drive along the riverside.

RECOMMENDATIONS
1 / To be informed, tourists (men or women) must wear appropriate clothing to visit all the temples in Angkor Park. Make sure your clothes can cover your shoulders and knees. The scarf is acceptable for some temples (except Angkor vat).
2 / We recommend wearing light cotton clothing as it is hot and humid from March to June.
3 / Take a camera or phone charger with you. You can charge your camera or mobile phone in a restaurant during your lunch.
4 / US dollars are accepted everywhere in Cambodia and you can even withdraw your money at an ATM. It could be in US dollars or local currency (Riel), so you do not need to change from US dollars to local currency.
